What the Hub is
The Condo AI Hub is a free resource for people working in condo and strata management across Canada — the managers running the buildings, and the board members and directors who volunteer to help govern them. It gathers the practical tools the job actually needs and puts them in one place, for free.
We lead with utility. Checklists, filing calendars, benchmarks and guides come first; the newsletter is simply how you keep up with what’s new. Everything is written to be useful to someone in their first year, not just to seasoned operators — and it’s tuned by province, because the rules are different in Ontario, BC and Alberta.
Who it’s for
Newer and younger managers finding their feet. Board members who got elected and were handed no manual. Experienced managers who just want the reference on one page. If you’re responsible for a building — or helping run one — this is built for you.

Doug Baker spent a decade running condominium operations before he wrote a word of this. He is a manager first, a writer second, and an evangelist for the people doing this work last.
A decade on the floor
Ten years running condominium operations across Toronto and the GTA. Started as a junior manager handling four buildings. Ended as portfolio lead for a 12-corporation, 700-unit book of business. Lived every part of the work — the 11pm emails, the AGM marathons, the late-stage water leak nobody wants to be the person responding to.
The pattern nobody was writing about
Somewhere around year seven, Doug noticed the same conversations happening in every coffee meeting with every other manager. The same frustrations, the same workarounds, the same hard-won lessons — none of it written down anywhere a newer manager could find it.
So he started writing it down
This is Doug’s attempt to write that conversation down. Every Friday. Free. Unvarnished. The thing he wishes someone had written for him in 2016 — written by someone still close to the work, not looking at it from outside.
How to engage with it
Read it. Reply to it. Send Doug the question you don’t feel like you can ask out loud. Vote on which topics he writes about next. If a piece helps a colleague, forward it.
